A Visit to Renato Fort!
Had a great afternoon with Renato today talking figures and diving down numerous “Rabbit Holes”, from Ivanhoe to Knights of the round table and the Italian Army to name a

few!
Renato’s collection is a pure joy and so colourful and diverse. Many of his figures were specially created for him by Pat Campbell, and Jim Dew, in both Gloss and Matt styles.
Renato also showed me his book that he is working on featuring types of “Darkest Africa” showcasing the diversity of figures made representing the peoples and adventurers of the high colonial age, made famous in tales such as King Solomon’s Mines and Saunders of the River.
Renato also shared his favourite figure from each of his cabinets, though to be honest he said he was hard pressed to pick just one! So when challenged to have one figure to take on a desert island he picked the Quiralu circus ring master and the clown in a barrel! Great fun choices!
Enjoy these pics of Renato and his collection, and Ren, over to you for more in depth commentary on the eye candy!
Certainly very diverse! But also very interesting!
