Just been rewatching this film. Normally just sit back and view but really paid attention this time round. So firstly am I wrong or when the Dervish attack the North Surrey company the British are using Martini Henry rifles. As this is supposed to be the 1898 campaign surely they were using Lee Metfield magazine rifles by this time. And correct me if I'm wrong but Robert Powell just legs it off with a couple men leaving the rest to get wiped out. I'm so glad I have the 1939 version on DVD one of the best films ever
