A long time friend -Dave Hall from Preston started making some figures from the Greta war about 20 years ago. What makes him rather special is he had never seen a toy/model soldier until his friend Max Hundleby suggested he should make some! He went on to make about 100 different figures. I got to influence what he was making , in that I suggested he create some "working soldiers" (those that weren't marching or fighting) . He then
produced some Germans cooking in the cookhouse, a cobbler, painters, a hair dresser giving a soldier a "short -back and sides", Frenchmen in "Fatigues" and some British tommie's filling a sandbag.
Here are some examples.
Dave sadly passed away in December 2023 and his moulds are now with Dorset Soldiers/Imperial
and castings can be purchased from them.

Thank you Chris, Davids figures look great and I must thank you for sending some of these to me over the years. I also look back at a few books you have sent me.
You and I have been writing to each other for close to 40 years.
