After returning to the US from the UK I decided to explore the eBay options here and have been pretty pleased. I recently bought a set that I couldn't resist, but at the same time I feel slightly guilty. The set was the Scots Guards in Service Dress and Steel Helmets. BUT...gasp...it was a set that was stripped and repainted. Obviously it was much cheaper than a an untouched set, but it looked amazing. There are some differences in color from the original paint style, but the quality of painting is extremely good. I just feel like I encouraged the unnecessary repainting in what may have been acceptable vintage soldiers. Hence my guilty feelings. I hope I didn't commit a crime.
