British Army Tailor's Quilt Late Victorian Era
Here is the link to the video I mentioned earlier about the British Army Tailor's quilt. It is part of the collection of the Army Museum in the Halifax Citadel.
I worked at the museum when it was donated and I remember the donor mentioning that it was in their cottage for a few generations before they decided it needed a new home.

Very interesting. Years ago I meet a military tailor who had worked at the Aldershot barracks from the 1940's. It was interesting that he did most of his tailoring by hand and usually sat on a fixed table against the wall. An old "trade" long gone.
Fascinating. Thank you for sharing that. W.Britains brought out a lady sewing the American Stars and stripes, I recently purchased the figure which someone had converted to a lady sewing a quilt(based on the same figure).
