Okay so just watched this film for I don't know which time this is but must be double figures by now.
However I have a question they appear to be using breach loading artillery, so why are they using burning torches to touch them off surely they would use a lanyard wouldn't they?

It's an error on the part of the movie producers to show them being fired by torches rather than by friction primers with lanyards. They probably thought it looked more dramatic.
